The 'Moorhen' Images of the Day

Voles are not regulars, but showed up at this site for a few days. The first we are confident is a Field Vole.

Correspondents have pointed out that this second image has many characteristics of a Bank Vole (difficult to tell apart even 'in the hand when biting you') which would be a first sighting here.

We prepare an informal email each week we call the Weekly Assortment. It includes upcoming images for this section and images of interest that didn't make the daily selection. You get typically 20 or 30 images in a mail which we restrict to about 3MB (20 seconds on 2MB broadband but 15 minutes on dial-up).
