Software Advice Note - Installation Problems

There is an advice note SAN 215 for problems in recent Fedora (and derivative) systems where the installer will not run.

Vutrax 13.3a WIRE 69.04 dev A (11 June 2009)

WARNING: Do not apply this to the issue 13.4a which includes the fix.

Fixes issues with WIRE (Build Rats Nest) related to Degree Turned pads in libraries not retaining their degree rotation. Recommended only if you see the problem.

Right Click and [Save .. As] naming the file vtx13_3a_wire_69_04_dev_a_linux.t01.
To install it select Install from File > Setup > Configuration and select the downloaded file (Typing *.t01 is easiest). Allow the install to finish.
If the update succeeds it should appear in About from Help as well as the program banners.

WARNING: Do not apply this to the issue 13.3a which include the fix.

Fixes issues with PLOT output of zero width lines designated 'butt-end' in Pen & Photo-plotting, and DRAFT 'Postscript' output of pad type ELONG.

Right Click and [Save .. As] naming the file vtx13_2a_update_1_linux.t01.
To install it select Install from File > Setup > Configuration and select the downloaded file (Typing *.t01 is easiest). Allow the install to finish.
The listing in About from Help will not change, but the program banners should.

Vutrax 13.2a Update 2 Beta 3 (27 July 2008)

WARNING: Do not apply this to the issue 13.3a which include the fix.

This is a Beta fix for a potential problem in PLOT output of 'butt-end' lines to Photo-plotting when a square aperture wider than the line is included in the aperture list (e.g. with Gerber-274X any square pad larger than the track), and for a rare CNCTOOL internal diagnostic error.

You should install this update only if the descriptions match your usage: we believe they are sound but are issued in advance of multiple field trials.

To install it select Install from File > Setup > Configuration and select the downloaded file (Typing *.t01 is easiest). Allow the install to finish.
The update will not appear in About from Help but should in the program banners.
